FAKE BUSY!

Published on by Sugandha

“Hey, Hi.. Let’s go for a drive? What say!” Sorry yaar, M busy right now. May be next time will catch up with you.

“Yaar aj dinner bahar kare sath me, what say?” Nahi yaar, abhi have some office work to finish, may be some other time.

And to top the list, we don’t have time to even talk properly for 5 minutes over the phone. “hi.. Long time no talk. How are you?” “Hmm.. I am good. Listen yaar, I am a bit busy, I will call you back later” and honestly that later never comes.

In the fast technology world, everyone is busy every time, in one petty thing or the other. The value of relationships is deteriorating day by day and it’s a pretty sick scenario to look at. The “WE-TIME” is gradually converting into “ME-TIME”. And the me time has eaten into the crazy laughs, the enjoyable moments, the fun times. Everyone is busy on their whatsapps or facebooks, having n number of contacts or so called friends, while have zero real time friends. The truth is virtual friends can’t be of any help in the real life. People have become so sceptical about the “i am busy” part that even if someone is really busy that is also taken as an excuse to not meet up. The difference between the truth and “almost truth” has extinguished.

I call this “FAKE BUSY”. It’s all about priorities. Despite the busy life, if we want to meet someone, we find out time. Not only time, we are ready to travel distances to meet the person. If we have to connect with someone over the phone, informally, we take out time for that as well. Dinners together?? And you say busy. What, are you not going to have dinner anyways? Why not with a friend and make the best out of your time. It’s just about prioritizing your list. If you value your relation, respect the person, find hanging out important, you will even dig time out from the earth. But if there is no value of the togetherness, even Heavens can’t make you spare time for that.

Let’s get out of the FAKE BUSY schedules and indulge in more AVAILABLE FOR YOU attitudes. After all it’s relationships that take us a long way!
